Xoles Two Point Zero
Today we make a giant step in Xoles that lets us demonstrate what we are able to do in a website following the concept of Web 2.0.
Adapting this concept allows the user to be part of a website in a real & dynamic way, in which the user can do different activities. This activities can be personal (having online picture albums), social (sharing this albums with other users) and of services (selecting a picture from an album, command the printing action followed by a framing process to be sent to your house's front door, all this possibly under certain costs). The opportunity window is pretty wide.
There are lots of successful organizations that have exploited the concept Web 2.0 to become active communities of millions of users. Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, Flikr and Napster are great examples. Focusing on one, lets concentrate on Facebook. This social tool allows users interact with their friends and participate in millions of applications. Something not everyone understands is that Facebook also allows users develop the same applications that through its service you include to your account.
Xoles tryout developed the application for Facebook called Quiniela Michantástica. Now, lets take this project as the example. From Facebook, any user can look up up for this Michantástica application and add it. Through this application, the user can compete with other users (outside and inside Facebook) depending on their abilities to foretell the results of the games in the Mexican Football Soccer league.
Sounds fun (for football soccer lovers), but this allows us to promote a new product of one of our clients. How? Introducing the product to a market of sports-lovers by sending the product as a gift to every week winner of the Quiniela Michantástica.
